Our 5 Year Old Double Wood harnesses the complexities which maturation in two different cask types can deliver. Matured in ex-bourbon casks with the innovation of additional maturation of virgin American oak casks. Bursting with flavours, superb neat, or the perfect foundation for a classic cocktail. A whiskey that truly reflects our purpose in producing great Irish whiskey at Hinch Distillery. Hinch 5 Year Old is a premium Blend of 20% Single Malt and 80% Single Grain with the contemporary twist of Virgin oak cask aging. Matured for a minimum of 4 years in the finest “first fill” Bourbon Casks followed by a further 1year in Virgin Oak casks. Best served on the rocks or as the base for a classic old Fashioned or modern cocktail.
Nose:
Hinch 5 Year Old is golden brown in appearance with distinct & intense citrus fruit on the nose.
Palate:
Big spice and Mocha notes on the palate are matched with balanced fruit undercurrent.
