Bellevue Wine Estate, a family-owned estate with over 200 years of winemaking heritage, proudly pioneered one of South Africa’s first commercial Pinotage plantings. Rooted in Stellenbosch's rich viticultural history, we create terroir-driven wines with minimal intervention, crafting each bottle to tell a story.

This blend comprises Bordeaux cultivars from trellised vineyards planted in diverse soil types. Drip irrigation supports the Malbec and Petit Verdot blocks, while the Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc blocks thrive as dryland vineyards.

After the grapes were cold-soaked for four days, each variety was inoculated and fermented separately with daily pump-overs. After completing malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels (60% new), the wines were racked into tank and blended, then racked back into the same (cleaned) barrels for 22 months.
