Constantia Royale is a limited production Sauvignon Blanc made from grapes grown on the 17 hectare, family-owned farm of Nova Zonnestraal in the beautiful Constantia Valley. It is said that Sauvignon Blanc vines should be able to see the ocean. With this in mind, the vineyards at Nova Zonnestraal were planted with a good view of Cape Hangklip from the western slope and False Bay from the eastern.

This wine comes from a small portion of our only East facing block, grown in decomposed granite and clay soil, producing a good balance between tropical fruit and greener, herbaceous flavours, while displaying the typical Constantia quality of freshness, purity, and minerality.

The wine was aged in selected first and second fill 500 liter French Oak barrels, to add some mid palate to the wine.
