Domaine des Dieux produces a small range of award winning premium quality wines. These wines are produced with the same fundamentals as the great French and European wines thus we encourage all our wines to be cellar aged in order for them to reach their full potential. The farm was bought in 2002 by two wine lovers with a dream. A combination of good quality grapes much patience and a love of champagne set the stage for Domaine des Dieux to officially become the first producer of MCC in the Hemel en Aarde region. The dream had become a reality.

Grapes for this Méthode Cap Classique (MCC) were all sourced from parcels in the Hemel en Aarde Ridge. It is here that we grow high-quality Pinot noir used to produce wines of longevity and finesse. Pinot noir is known throughout the world as one of the traditional varietals used to produce the finest and most long-lived sparkling wines, clone 52C, a champagne clone, is grown on the Domaine des Dieux farm and picked for use in our MCC’s.

Following the secondary fermentation in bottle, the wine lies in the bottle on it’s lees for 6 years in the cool of the cellar before disgorgement.

Colour in our Brut Rosé is achieved at the time of pressing when it has extracted the right level of colour. The base wines are then cool-fermented in steel vats to preserve their delicate fruit flavours. At blending time the base wines for the Rosé are selected for their perfumed fruit profiles.
