Donkiesbaai on the West Coast of South Africa has been the vacation home to the Engelbrecht family for four generations. The grapes for this wine come from the small region of Piekenierskloof. The complexity of this wine comes from the unique Piekenierskloof climate which allows us to produce an elegant yet approachable wine.

The Chenin Blanc grapes are sourced from the Piekenierskloof region. The unique climate of Piekenierskloof allows for the production of elegant yet approachable wines.

The wine is matured in seasoned 500-liter French oak barrels for six months before bottling, enhancing its complexity and depth.

Grapes are harvested over six dates and left on straw mats for three weeks to dry, concentrating sugars and flavors. After destemming and gentle pressing, the juice is transferred into barrels for fermentation. Fermentation is halted by filtration when the wine reaches approximately 10% alcohol.
