Edetària is a highly regarded winery located in the Terra Alta region of Catalonia, Spain. The winery is best known for producing wines that focus on the Garnacha (Grenache) grape, with a particular emphasis on Garnacha Blanca, which accounts for a significant portion of the global supply. Founded in 2003 by Joan Àngel Lliberia, Edetària operates with a philosophy of sustainable viticulture, incorporating organic practices since its inception and becoming fully certified in 2020. The estate spans 60 hectares, and many of its vineyards are over 60 years old. Edetària's wines are crafted from various indigenous grape varieties, including Garnacha Peluda and Carignan, all grown on five distinct soil types, each contributing to the complexity of the wines. Their range includes red, white, and rosé wines, with notable labels such as Via Edetana and Edetària Selecció, which have earned high praise for their balance, minerality, and depth. The winery's commitment to organic farming and minimal intervention winemaking has made it one of the leaders in the Terra Alta DO, known for producing expressive, terroir-driven wines

The Edetària Via Edetana Negre Eco Organic 2021 is a blend of 50% Garnacha Fina and 50% Garnacha Peluda (Hairy Grenache), both sourced from certified organic vineyards in Terra Alta, Spain. These vines, aged between 20 and 40 years, grow on soils composed of sandy, carbonated, and clayey components, which contribute to the wine's mineral backbone and complexity.

Then it follows 12 months aging in 300l. French oak barrels before assemblage and bottling.

Different fermentations are made from each plot to obtain a wider range of nuances, and they are completed we made a unique assemblage of both grape varietals.
