Founded in 1893, Edouard Delaunay is an old House with a rich and singular history that contributed significantly to the development of Burgundy throughout the 20th century. It was bought at the end of 2017 by the founder's great-grandson, Laurent Delaunay, an oenologist and wine entrepreneur, with the aim of restoring its position among the great names of Burgundy. Starting with the 2017 vintage, Maison Edouard Delaunay offers a selection of around thirty vintages concentrated on the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, ranging from regional appellations to Grands Crus. Precise, subtle, well-balanced wines, without excess, for the most demanding wine lovers and enthusiasts throughout the world.

75% of our Côte de Nuits Villages cuvée was sourced from the northern part of the Côte de Nuits (Brochon, Fixin), for structure and lovely scents of black fruit, while 25% of the grapes were from the southern part of the Côte de Nuits (Premeaux, Comblanchien) for the softness and body that they lend to the wine.

The wine was aged for 14 months using a proportion of 10% new oak.

The grapes were handpicked, sorted and destemmed before undergoing vinification.
