Fuselage Wines is a distinctive South African winery named after the body of an airplane. Based just off the apron of the Diemerskraal airfield, reflecting the owners' passion for both winemaking and aviation. The winery was founded by Danie Morkel, who is also known for his work with Roodekrantz Wines. The brand embraces a unique thematic approach by naming its wines after aviation terms and themes and focussing on Paarl terroir. Most grapes are planted and grown on the property and some special parcels sourced nearby to best reflect the region’s unique qualities and taste.

The vineyards have clay rich soils with “koffie klippies” scattered on its surface. These old bush vines have stood the test of time and offer an intense expression of its surrounds and area.

Racked in winter and matured in small barrels till bottling date just before next harvest.

Handpicked and sorted, destemmed, crushed, settled. Juice fermented in small barrels in temperature-controlled room. Extended contact on fermentation lees.
