Tucked into the foothills of a dramatic mountain range at the bottom of Africa is Lismore Estate Vineyards. Californian Samantha O'Keefe has found paradise and the perfect terroir. Her passion combined with vines planted at 300 meters chilled by the winter snow and nourished by the African summer sun produce classic cool climate wines which are rich complex and lovingly hand crafted.

Samantha O’Keefe searches for vineyards around the Cape to support her love for cool climate wines. Vineyards that can express the richness of African sunshine combined with tipicity of soil and cool climate finesse. The grapes for this Chenin Blanc comes from W.O. Walker Bay, and a little more specifically, Stanford. The vineyard grows close to the ocean, in granite soils and produces this exceptional wine of finesse and clarity.

10% skin fermented, barrel maturation took place for 11 months, 30% new oak was used.

The grapes were handpicked from cool climate vineyards in Walker Bay. The grapes were then whole bunched pressed, slowly extracting the juice at 600lts per ton. The juice was settled over night and racked into 400l barrels where natural fermentation occurred.
