Chardonnay Coveli Vigneti Delle Dolomiti

Mezzacorona Chardonnay Coveli is a versatile companion that enhances a variety of culinary delights. It harmonizes beautifully with appetizers (try it with rice and olive balls: incredibly easy to make and excellent snacks for tantalizing any guests' taste buds), accentuating their flavours with its own subtle nuances. It pairs to perfection with delicate fish dishes, succulent white meats, or vibrant Mediterranean salads.

Gruppo Mezzacorona is located in Trento’s Piana Rotaliana, near the town of Mezzocorona. The Group includes Cantine Mezzacorona, the parent company, Cantine Rotari, which produces Trento DOC Metodo Classico sparkling wines, and Feudo Arancio, based in Sambuca di Sicilia. Founded in 1904, Gruppo Mezzacorona boasts 1,600 members and 2,800 hectares of vineyards in Trentino-Alto Adige’s finest grape-growing areas. Mezzacorona is the largest Italian producer of Teroldego Rotaliano and produced the very first bottle of this wine back in 1971. It is also the foremost Italian producer of Lagrein, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer. Mezzacorona agronomists contributed to the first experiments and to the spread of the practice of sexual confusion, which is now widely used in integrated pest management to eradicate insects harmful to vines without the use of pesticides. The winery's current headquarters, the “Cittadella del Vino”, was completed in August 2004 to a design by architect Alberto Cecchetto. The design of its "wave" roof echoes the succession of vineyards cultivated with pergolas.

The grapes for this wine are cultivated in Trentino, on the mid to high hills of Faedo and the Cembra Valley.

After fermentation the wine is fined, stabilised and allowed to rest for a few months before bottling.

The grapes are harvested in late September, cold maceration of 5-8 hours follows and then they are pressed. The must, after natural cold settling, is fermented at low temperatures.
