Stellenzicht’s vineyards and winery is nestled on the slopes of the Helderberg in Stellenbosch. As custodians of this beautiful farm, we believe in protecting our natural resources through sustainable farming. These efforts help create an eco-system that protects our dragonfly population as well as our fauna and flora. This philosophy of sustainability drives our daily activities, as we consistently pursue balance.

The wines are matured in 500L and 300L French oak barrels, with 40% new oak, for up to 18 months before it’s blended and bottled.

The grapes are hand picked in the morning. The Cabernet and Cinsault whole berries are fermented for 7- 10 days while the Shiraz whole bunches ferment for up to 14 days. During fermentation the wines are pumped over two to three times a day. Some of the wines will get some extended skin contact before the wines are drained, pressed and racked to barrel.
