At Château Thivin , the oldest wine - growing estate in Mont-Brouilly , a special atmosphere reigns, that of a human-sized castle where the Geoffray family has been developing, for 6 generations , quality wines with the greatest respect for the terroirs. The grape harvests carried out by hand and the somewhat interventionist vinifications make it possible to obtain real local wines. The Domaine's vines are located mainly on the Crus Côte de Brouilly and Brouilly, but we also produce Beaujolais Blanc, Rosé and Sparkling cuvées from the most magnificent Beaujolais vineyards.

Our seven plots of Côte de Brouilly all lie on the east, south, and west flanks of Mont Brouilly. Each of these plots is distinguished by its orientation or its position on the slope, and each brings its share of complexity to this wine. The soils are dominated by the “blue stone“ (Metadiorite), stonier for the highest plots and more clayey for those nearer the foot of the hill.

Matured in oak tuns for 7 months.
