Ideally located below Constantia Nek just moments from the bustling Cape Town city centre Constantia Glen is a picturesque boutique wine estate producing ultra-premium cool climate wines. The 60 hectare property situated at an altitude of 130 – 270 metres above sea level has a mere 29 hectares under vine with production of our wines limited to 120 000 bottles per annum.

The 2022 vintage was characterized by a cool growing season, resulting in a late harvest. White grapes were picked starting on 28 February 2022, while red varieties began on 21 March 2022. This extended ripening period allowed for optimal flavor development and balanced acidity.

The blend matured for 18 months in 60% new French oak barrels, with the remainder in second-fill barrels. This regimen imparted complexity and integrated tannins, enhancing the wine's aging potential.

Hand-harvested grapes underwent meticulous sorting before fermentation. Each varietal was vinified separately in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperatures to preserve aromatic purity. Post-fermentation, the wines were blended to achieve the desired profile.
