The Chardonnay grapes are sourced from Creation's vineyards located on the Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge. The region's elevation, proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, and cool night index contribute to a slow ripening process, resulting in grapes with remarkable freshness and nuanced flavors. The soils consist of clay and loam derived from decomposed Bokkeveld shale, providing good drainage and water retention, which enhance the structure and mouthfeel of the wine.

The wine was aged in French oak barrels, with a combination of new and second-fill barrels, for a period that allows for optimal integration of oak and fruit characteristics.

After hand-harvesting, the grapes underwent whole-bunch pressing. Fermentation occurred in French oak barrels, with a portion undergoing spontaneous fermentation to enhance complexity. The wine was then matured on the lees to develop depth and texture.
