As a regenerative viticulture consultant, I believe in working alongside nature, not against it. I spend most of my time out in the fields, visiting clients or friends on their farms and sharing ideas, wild or well thought out, on how to improve our practices and connection to nature. This is what fuels me and gives me purpose in this world. Deep Rooted Wines was born out of a desire to share these conversations and the passion that ignites them with more people. My goal? To craft beautiful, natural wines that showcase the unique character of the Walker Bay. I achieve this by minimal intervention in the cellar, and using Zero added Sulphites, letting the grapes and the land speak for themselves. Expect aromatic, complex wines with lively acidity – a true testament to healthy vines and meticulous care.

This wine is a blend of three parcels of Sauvignon blanc from within the Walker Bay. Each parcel is planted on a unique soil type, namely Quartz, Ferricrete and limestone and all farmed either Regeneratively or Organically. There is also a small portion (6%) Semillon.

Fermentation occurred naturally and the wine was left on its gross lees for 10 months before blending and bottling. This wine is made without any added Sulphites.

Two thirds whole bunch pressed while the last portion was given 24 hours skin contact prior to pressing. The juice was left to settle overnight before racking to old 400 & 500 litre french oak barrels.
