A 4th Generation Family Owned and managed wine business, beginning in the year 1946. The Steytler Family celebrated 75 years on the Bottelary Hills based property in Stellenbosch in 2021 and the hand over from 3rd to 4th generation in 2022. The portfolio focuses predominantly on the production of Chenin blanc and Pinotage, across 3 ranges, showcasing a different style of each of these varietals in each range.

From vines planted in 2015. These trellised vines are unirrigated and yield between 10 – 12 tons per hectare.

After completion the wine is age for 11 months in tank with gentle micro-oxygenation to give the wine a smooth finish.

Grapes were machine harvested at 22.0 balling to preserve freshness and maintain lower alcohol. The must was inoculated with biodynamic yeast and only spent 3 days on the skins with two light pump-overs per day. After gently pressing, the wine was transferred to stainless steel tanks for malo-lactic conversion.
