A 4th Generation Family Owned and managed wine business, beginning in the year 1946. The Steytler Family celebrated 75 years on the Bottelary Hills based property in Stellenbosch in 2021 and the hand over from 3rd to 4th generation in 2022. The portfolio focuses predominantly on the production of Chenin blanc and Pinotage, across 3 ranges, showcasing a different style of each of these varietals in each range.

From vines planted between 1995 and 2002, these vines are all unirrigated and planted in low potential soils. Soil types are predominantly Clovelly and Tukulu.

After 20 months in barrel, the blend is carefully selected and bottled under inert conditions.

These individual varieties are aged and vinified separately before blending and bottling. The grapes are individually inoculated with a biodynamic yeast culture, and fermented on skins until dry. After malolactic conversion, the wine is transferred to barrels for ageing.
