Pinot Grigio Garda

Serve Lamberti Pinot Grigio with light appetisers, delicate first courses, salads, seafood and creamy cheeses.

Originating in 1964 at Lazise on the banks of Lake Garda the House of Lamberti was the first to propose a new modern identity for the wines of Veneto and in particular those of Verona. Typical examples are Bardolino and Valpolicella as well as Amarone. The white wines include Lugana Soave and Custoza.

Vineyards in Trentino and Veneto, on the hilly valley along the Adige river at 200m altitude. The training system is “pergola” (trellis), on well-exposed alluvial soil, with a solid skeleton and good drainage. The yield of grapes is 12 tonnes.

The new wine is refined in stainless steel tanks and then allowed to rest in the bottle for some time before being released.

The grapes are picked towards the end of September and vinified off-skins after soft-pressing. The clean must, after cold settling, ferments at 16-18°C after the addition of selected yeast.
