Morgenhof is Wine Estate 4 km from the centre of Stellenbosh. Bosting award winning wines and picturesque views if the Simonberg mountain. On the farm we have a selection of activities ranging from wine tasting, quad bike rides up the mountain to restaurants and a cocktail bar. We have wedding and function areas and offer accommodation on the farm.

Malolactic fermentation was done in stainless steel tanks after which the wine was aged in French oak barrels for 24 months (20% new oak).

The grapes were received during the early morning. Crushing and de-stemming commenced, and the mash was pumped to an open-top fermentation tank. Two days of cold maceration followed to help promote fruit in the wine. Whereafter the juice was inoculated with commercial yeast. Fermentation temperatures were held between 26-30°C. Only punch downs were done, three times per day, on this wine. With maceration lasting between 7-10 days.
