TANAGRA is an idyllic wine farm close to McGregor and part of the Robertson Wine Route and Route 62. We offer comfortable accommodation in well appointed guest cottages, produce handcrafted wines and stylish Grappa, Brandy, Fruit Liqueurs, and Eau de Vie.

Registered Single vineyard (2 ha) at Tanagra (McGregor), at almost 140m altitude. Planted in 1996, Rootstock: Ramsey; 6900 number of vines trellised in a North-South row direction on a 5 wire system.

11 months on the lees and in older 225l French oak barrels.

The grapes were picked at 21 ballings early in the morning and then cooled down overnight at 12 degree C. Very gentle pressing the next morning. Fermentation kicked off as cold-fermenting (tank) and then 50% barrel-fermented in 225l barrels and 50% cold-fermented in tank.
