With the ebb and flow of the tide and the cool breeze blowing off the Southern Ocean, Trade Winds present their wines from prime vineyards of the Western Cape, located near the tip of Africa.

Trade Winds Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 Family Reserve is made from grapes from low-yielding vines in Stellenbosch, South Africa’s outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon region. 2019 saw the smallest wine harvest for 14 years, largely due to the preceding three-year drought. The quality however was high. The cool weather conditions constituted smaller berries with a greater concentration of flavours and good acidity.

The wine was matured in 250lit French oak barrels, 2nd fill (no new wood) for a period of 18 months
