Henri-Marc emigrated from his native Canton of Vaud to Champagne and created "de Venoge & Cie" in 1837 with his son Joseph. The Cordon Bleu is adopted as the symbol of the House, in reference to the Venoge river and to the order of the Holy Spirit, the most famous order of chivalry of the French monarchy. From 1838, Henri-Marc was responsible for a veritable “marketing” revolution by creating the very first illustrated label in the history of Champagne! The House's wines are now distributed in more than 40 countries only through the selective network: specialist stores, hotels and large restaurants. Our Cellar Master imposes high quality standards for their elaboration: supplies in the best crus, low dosages, the use of only the first press and long aging times. The Maison de Venoge also has a real treasure: one of the richest wine libraries in Champagne.

This House resurrects the legendary Cuvée des Princes created in 1864 by Joseph de Venoge, in honor of the Princes of Orange. Its elegant bottles recalls the characteristic patterns of the great European aristocracy of the early 20th century, who decant Champagne in crystal bottles. The Cuvée Princes Extra Brut comes from a careful selection of Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims, the Best vintages of Meunier and the wonderful Chardonnay from the Côtes des Blancs.

A 30% vin de réserve is also used in the blend. followed by ageing for at least 5 years in the Maison's cellars before a dosage of just 4 g/l is added - making it an Extra Brut.
