Krug sources grapes from various vineyards across the Champagne region, focusing on plots that express the unique character of the vintage. The 1995 vintage benefited from a year when nature provided expressive fruit with great levels of freshness and character.

The 1995 Krug Vintage Champagne was aged on the lees for approximately 8 years before disgorgement in the winter of 2004. Post-disgorgement, the Champagne continued to mature, developing additional complexity and finesse over time.

Krug is renowned for fermenting all its base wines in small oak casks, a practice that contributes to the Champagne's intense bouquet and complex flavors. The 1995 vintage underwent fermentation in these casks, followed by blending and extended ageing on the lees.
