The Krug Rosé is a blend that includes traditionally macerated red Pinot Noir from a special plot called La Côte Valnon in Aÿ, contributing spiciness, color, and structure. The blend comprises wines from various plots and different years to achieve a complex expression of fruit and structure.

Krug Rosé benefits from extensive ageing, both on lees and in the bottle, which helps to develop its complex flavors and fine mousse. Each edition is composed of wines from several years, ensuring consistency and quality over time​.

Krug Rosé is crafted with reserve wines that make up about 50% of the blend, providing depth and complexity. The reserve wines from the 2008 harvest bring roundness and unctuousness, while those from Ambonnay and Bouzy contribute intense fruit flavors. This champagne is aged for at least six years in Krug's cellars before release.
