The Grand Siècle is crafted from Chardonnay (58%) and Pinot Noir (42%) sourced from 11 Grand Cru villages, including Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Cramant, Avize, Chouilly, and Oger for the Chardonnay, and Bouzy, Ambonnay, Verzy, Verzenay, Tours-sur-Marne, and Mailly for the Pinot Noir. The vineyards benefit from diverse terroirs, contributing to the wine's complexity and richness​.

Laurent Perrier Grand Siècle is aged for 10 years on lees, which contributes to its complexity and depth of flavor. The extended ageing process allows the wine to develop its characteristic aromas and flavors, as well as a fine and persistent mousse​.

The wine is a blend of three exceptional vintages, selected to achieve the perfect balance. The base of Iteration No. 26 includes vintages from 2008, 2007, and 2006. This blending process allows the winemakers to combine the strengths of each vintage to create a harmonious and balanced champagne​.
