TANAGRA is an idyllic wine farm close to McGregor and part of the Robertson Wine Route and Route 62. We offer comfortable accommodation in well appointed guest cottages, produce handcrafted wines and stylish Grappa, Brandy, Fruit Liqueurs, and Eau de Vie.

North-facing vineyard (2 ha) at Tanagra (McGregor), at almost 140m altitude, registered as Single Vineyard. Soil mixed with slightly rocky parts and clay structure. Sustainably farmed. Planted in 1998, Rootstock: Richter 102/14; 4000 number of vines trellised in a North-South row direction on a 5 wire system.

Matured in older French oak barrels for 11 months.

The grapes were hand-picked at 21.5 ballings early in the morning and then cooled down over night at 12 degree C. Very gentle pressing. Initially cold-fermented and then barrel-fermented.
