Cabernet Franc’s liveliness makes it an excellent food partner. Friendly, inviting and accessible, it pairs wonderfully well with red meat dishes, roasted lamb cutlets and greens or a lemon and herd chicken with mielie pap and smoor. The hint of spice will also pair beautifully with dark chocolate desserts.

Ideal winter conditions with good rainfall contributed to an even growth and provided an excellent foundation. Budbreak was consistently good and even. During harvest time, a cool season and moderate weather conditions resulted in slow ripening grapes, which gave wines the opportunity to develop exceptional flavour and colour. Picking of the grapes at their ideal ripening stage contributed to great primary aromas and development of berries to produce outstanding quality.

Barrel matured for 12 months.
