The story of Nederburg is one of dreams disappointments sorrows and successes that for more than 200 years have made up the lives of the many men and women who have lived loved and laboured there. With the first vineyards planted around 1791 the founders of Nederburg were people of tremendous vision strength and courage - people who developed Nederburg from a bare patch of wilderness into one of South Africa's most eminent wine farms.

The grapes for this vintage were sourced from vineyards located across the Western Cape, South Africa. These sites provide a variety of microclimates and soil types, contributing to the wine’s complexity. The vineyards are managed in collaboration with local grape growers to ensure high-quality fruit production​.

Post-fermentation, the wine underwent malolactic fermentation and was matured with French oak contact for around nine months​.

Grapes were harvested by hand and machine between February and March, with ripeness levels at 23-25° Balling. The fruit was fermented on the skins in stainless steel tanks for 10 to 14 days at controlled temperatures of 25-28°C.
