The story of Nederburg is one of dreams disappointments sorrows and successes that for more than 200 years have made up the lives of the many men and women who have lived loved and laboured there. With the first vineyards planted around 1791 the founders of Nederburg were people of tremendous vision strength and courage - people who developed Nederburg from a bare patch of wilderness into one of South Africa's most eminent wine farms.

The grapes for this blend are sourced from top-performing vineyards situated in the Stellenbosch, Paarl, and Darling regions of South Africa. The vines, planted between 1990 and 1998, thrive in granite and sandstone soils with good water-holding capacity, contributing to the grapes' natural acidity and depth of flavor.

The wine is aged for nine months in French oak barrels, which imparts subtle smoky and vanilla notes that balance with the fruit flavors.

Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures ranging from 25°C to 28°C over a period of 10 to 14 days. This is followed by malolactic fermentation and maturation in French oak barrels for nine months, allowing the wine to develop complexity and integrate its flavors harmoniously.
